Our guide told us that the Chinese are very
superstitious. On this door, you will notice the round metal orbs, and that their are 9 going across. Nine symbolizes longevity, fullness, and perfection. There are four Celestial animals.
The Dragon is the most powerful symbol in Chinese history and tradition. Ultimate representation of good luck, bringing prosperity and abundance. The Tiger symbolizes protection, bold and brave leadership. The Turtle, support, self reliance, stability and longevity. The Phoenix of opportunity, also said to symbolize a life of ease and luxury.
